I don't like this cap. It think the title on the cap is more for Marine SA Schule. The title itself looks original. The cap is made last week if you ask me, and looks brand-new.

An RZM label without the maker's code is not uncommon, but one without the serial number makes no sense. The way the RZM could determine the taxes due was by controlling the issuance of the labels, which had to be serial numbered to allow the tracking. In the case of a missing manufacturer's code stamping, the serial number on the tag would allow any defective merchandise to be traced back to its maker. I'm sceptical of this one.

This cap is a former "Richard de Filippi" collection cap and is documented in his book page 69, so as said, seems not all what we could find in books is original stuff and can be a reference...
Nothing can replace experience and handling an original item (of course if we have found one
).

I haven't collected enough HJ material over the years to rule it in/out based on pix alone. Pascal, have you seen this one in person? The DeFillipi book came out in 1980, so if a fake, its very good for something from the 60's or 70's--but I have never seen this type of RZM tag either.
We have reviewed a few of the caps in the book on the Headgear forum, and some are definate fakes, or have been played with (see the Heer FeldBischoff and "Landwacht" visor).
I don't have Angolia's HJ books anymore--he may address the correct insignia and RZM tags for this style cap.NEC SOLI CEDITComment

Think the cap could be period...Mmmm not sure.
But without doubt a "put together", the tag seems wrong, I do absolutely not
like the RZM logo on the tag!
Its perhaps a civilian marine cap restored to transform it in "more interessting" political HJ and of course III R cap with a max of swastikas.
