HJ shirt with Gaudreieck and Traditionslitze

I have this HJ shirt which shows extensive use and some repairs.

Could I please have some opinions about the Gaudreieck with Traditionslitze.

The Gebietsdreieck and the Traditionslitze both look good in my opinion. Nice wash-faded appearance which seems very consistent with the worn appearance of the shirt.

        Thanks for the replies.

Don, could you explain the differences between a Traditionslitze and a Führerlitze?
The Litze on the shirt is in gold color.

The wear on the shirt is consistent all over. The shirt appears to have been worn over a long time. There are repairs and on the shoulder/sleeve sections you can see where the sleeves were sewn in to shorten them and apparently later let out again to full length. This should be evidence that the shirt was worn over a few years.

I'll jump in quickly and explain the Traditionslitze (shown on your triangle). This was awarded to those members of the HJ whose membership had started before the 1st of Jan 1933. I often see the Traditionslitze being described as an award to a HJ member whose Bann had been in existence prior to the above date. I can't find a period reference for this but have seen documents that show individual members applying for permission to wear the Traditionslitze so I tend to beleive that this is an individual award.

            Schmusi,

thanks for your explanation. I was aware about the Traditionslitze being worn by pre 1933 HJ members.

What I meant, what is the difference in appearance to the HJ Führerlitze? Is it a different color?
How do you distinguish between the Traditionslitze and the Führerlitze?

                  Bob,

                  thanks for the photo.

Do you know what a F******252;hrerlitze looks like? I was only aware of the Traditionslitzen worn under the Gebietsdreieck.

Maybe your example on the S******252;d Franken Tunic is a F******252;hrerlitze. It is of totally different material.

Ah, sorry Frank I personally haven't heard the term F******252;hrerlitze before so can't help with that one. The Litze in Bob's picture might be what is meant. Same Litze with same award requirement but with finer construction.

I Was Unaware Of A Specific "Fuhrerlitze." That Certainly Does Not Mean It Did Not Exist. Possibly, The Example In My Second Photo Is An Example Of Such A Litze. We All Still Have Much To Learn.

Agreed, there is still much to learn.

It would make sense that the Litze on the Oberbannf******252;hrer Tunic is a F******252;hrerlitze.

Have other members HJ uniforms with Gebietsdreieck and Traditionslitzen? Please post photos. Lets see what variants of Litzen are out there.
