This is a medal issued upon the death of Hindenburg. The inscription on the back "Grosser Feldherr ziehe ein in Walhall" actually translates to "Great General, enter into Valhalla" alluding to the fact that now that he is dead, he will be moving on to Valhalla.

I noted a border stamp!!!

Is: "Bayer.Hauptmünzamt"

Should be: Bayern Hauptmünzamt

No German would be so stupid to write Bayern without "n"!!!
