        Wow nice pictures posted here.

That was a nice chain Toby. I was confused by warlords reply also as I see
now he is the owner anyway.

These badges are very rare and yet we have four original examples shown!

The last one I saw for sale was by DN in 2001 when he sold No. "473" for €2310. It was a bargain.

Weitze had one in gold in around 2003 which I think was priced at €8,000.

Again, nice to see so many original pieces.

                    Stan,

Did you perchance save the images of Weitze's Gold one? I somehow missed it at the time & never saw the images.

                    Cheers
                    Don

                      Hi,

That are very nice badges. Do you have also the slip case? Once I was lucky enough to see such an award in its case by a an advanced Belgian collector.

                      Regards, Theo

                        Don,

No, unfortunately I didn't save the images although I am fairly certain that the issue no. was "3". As a matter of fact a badge in gold marked "3" is shown in Nimmergut's excellent work " Deutscher Orden und Ehrenzeichen bis 1945".

                        I'm going to pm you.

                          Theo,

Here is my badge in its case. This is the badge and case which DN's shows in his two books.

Bob, I just love your Badge! It sure has that "Been There" look. You know, like it's been drug around Berlin on a Scared Man's Coat! I just love it! All the Best, Butch
