An Unusual Tunic Worn By A Haupstrumfuhrer Attached To The 1st Sturmbann, Motorstandarte 71(kolm), Motorgruppen Niederrhein. The Panzer Totenkopf Attached To The Collar Indicate This Man Served As A Driving Instructor Attached To A Panzer School. The Deployment Likely Occured After Many Panzer School Instructors Were Withdrawn From The Schools To Form "panzer Lehr." The Ribbon Bar And D R L Medal Are Original To The Tunic As Vet Aquired In The Early 70's. They Are Pinned Through The Tunic, not Attached With Loops. Likely This Was Done To Avoid Them Being Torn Off As The Man Went In And Out Of Turrets. The Tunic Also Has A Large Tear With A Period Repai. The Tunic Was Accompanied By A Set Of Black Breeches With Unusual Zipper Closures At The Calf.

OK BOB I'VE BEEN MEANING TO TELL YOU TO FIX YOUR CAMERA, I HATE SEEING YOUR ITEMS OUT OF FOCUS, PLEASE FIX YOUR SHUTTER SPEED, OR IT COULD BE YOUR FLASH AND DELAY ON YOUR CAMERA?
But your items deserve to be seen as they are and not all blurred.
now on this coat, again love it! now the ribbon bar has the long pin in the rear like the dress bars? and collar skulls original to the coat?
what unit was qualified to have the skulls and were they able to keep them on if transfered?
thanks greg
