Nests

According to Angolia's SA book, swallow's nests were worn by band members even BEFORE the nazi movement. The ones on the shirt don't look like SA nests. Can you post a CLOSEUP of the collar piping and the shoulderboard?

Swallows' nests have been worn since the 19th century, by military and non=military bands. While the Tresse looks right on these, the SA standard should be 7 vertical bars. The examples I have have 7. Not to say it's not possible that in the early period there could be variations.
