This Uniform Is An Excellent Example Of The Mixture Of Insignia Worn By N S K K Men During The War. Although The Collar Tabs Are Standard For A French N S K K Member, The Shoulder Boards Are For The Position Of Driver(kraftfahrer)in Transportkorp Speer. The Light Blue Piping Indicates The Supply Branch(truppenverwaltung/versorgung).Attached Files

Nice Bob. I love foreign volunteer para-military stuff! It has the early 1st type French nationality patch to boot! I am theorizing that maybe the blue piping had to do with Light blue being the French volunteer color for NSKK and perhaps if this is mixed NSKK-Speer insignia (transitional) set up with the light blue is just the French nationality indicator branch color. Just a theory but it could still be supply... Thanks for sharing! Nick

True, so 100% Speer transport it is as that would be the regulations. I just thought... light blue farbe and French Nationality shield... that can't be a coincidence! In other words perhaps French drivers chose this Farbe Speer boards (a preference) because they were used to that color in the NSKK (regardless of the regulations...and its transitional) Who knows?...Nice set up!
