DAF Reichsleitung Overseas or Sidecap

Just picked this up. It's only my third sidecap as I prefer visors but I find it difficult to pass on caps with bullion piping (I'm sure it's a personality flaw). Was hoping you folks might comment on how rare these Reichsleitung level caps are.

I notice Bill Shea has one but the eagle (I was told) was never authorized to be in gold regardless of ranking.

So are these Reichs level caps rare?

Well, so much for the regulations about silver eagles. Gotta admit it's always fun to see how the "authoritarian state" inforced its regs. Maybe that means there's hope for Amerika.

Your's is a nice cap. These are attractive - don't know why they're not sought after. I recall police caps weren't that interesting until someone wrote a book. Perhaps someone should write a book on the esoteric organizations of the Reich & our caps will be appreciated. In the interim, I still like gold bullion piping.
