I agree, strange style for the party armband.
The BeVo-like swastika is embroidered on a non-standard material (from the foto). Besides the white material is sewn by the way uncharacteristic for it.

This is the first one I have seen with that material . I believe it is a good one. Black light test it. There are alot of these that people say are fake just because they are unusual. That isnt always the case . Best regards.

let's think, the armband is unusual, it means the armband is not similar to all party armbands people saw. It means, the armband mismatches to armbands were made in Third Reich. You OWN have told, you have seen such for the first time. I suppose among hundred armbands you will not find a armband with such white material.

to author: you can find correct armband like your in the book, for example, "Collectors guide to Storm Troops insignia" by James David Fuller, page 146.

Authentication of NSDAP armbands is very difficult. Tens of millions were made, there are countless variations. It does not surprise me that this one was called fake in a German forum; I have seen very few of these armbands in Germany. In contrast, I have seen literally thousands of these in the USA, coming directly from veterans. I think there may be more than a million of these in the US. I have seen this type of material before. Here is an original HJ armband with similar construction. Although the picture does not show it well, the backing material appears to be very similar to the armband above, if not the same.

I don't know if the armband that started this thread is original. A vblicklight or burn test might prove it to be a fake. But giving it a thumbs up or thumbs down based on pictures alone is not possible. Here is an original armband. Although many people seem to believe that everything made during the Third Reich was made by master craftsmen, this item is very crudely made. The sewing is sloppy, the HK is poorly formed. Note the thin white material, this is also similar to the armband that started this thread.
