    Need Help With PL shirt?

    Hi,can someone tell me if the political shirt worn a cross strap like this one?and is that what the loup is on the shoulder of the shirt?thanks

          Hi Justina, I don't collect political items as such, but the loop is to retain the cross strap.

          We have a thread about ironing uniforms with some good advice in it. See here:

            That's correct--the loop on the shoulder is for the cross strap to pass through. I would not recommend washing or pressing the shirt. It can be done but you have to be extremely careful.
            The cross strap should be in the same color leather as the belt--'Havana brown' was the period name.

              Hi,Thanks for the reply,its not the same color it looks like it was at one time and someone dyed it Black?iam looking for the two belt loops with d-rings for the belt ?i will just keep the black cross strap until i find one to match the belt..but thank you very much for the help...

                          Hi,Could someone please post a picture of the correct badge i should be looking for as there are two badge loops on the left pocket as you can see it in the picture?realy realy would be a big help befor i buy the wrong badge?this is political i thought maybe the sa spot badge but that would be for sa brown shirt correct?

                            Hi Justina, I don't think the flag badge would really have been worn on the uniform; it is more of an item that would have been worn on a civillian suit to show you were a Party supporter. It would go through the button hole like you have done.

                            The loops on the pocket could be used for a variety of badges. Say a WW1 award like a wound badge or any of the Party awards. Have a look through some period photos and find one you like the look of and use that
