SA sports patch without district

I’ve seen several of these with district letters on them but can’t remember if I’d seen one without, or having this backing
I’d appreciate some help with this one if anyone can help

I have seen period pictures of sports shirts and sweaters in wear with no Gruppe designation. So, they definitely existed. As to why, I haven't a clue.

Is this patch printed/silk screened? There were several non-group marked sport insignia used of different sizes, but I don't recall seeing any printed examples.
