Showing here for assessment are two Eagle Order awards from my collection. Both are 3rd Class breast crosses measuring 45mm and suspended from a ribbon:
- the first being an early 1937 production piece on a 40mm ribbon suspended from a ribbon ring attached to a jump ring (ie. without the fan) and no maker markings;
- the second example being a later production piece with crossed swords (as authorized in 1939) on a 38mm ribbon and with the cross suspension modified to incorporate the fan marked “900” and “21” (Godet) on the suspension ring and “3” on the top right side of the fan.
I believe both awards to be original period pieces. Comments and feedback will be appreciated.
Best regards,
John
