Anyone knows the name of this artist / sculptor?

    Hi,

I was able to acquire this piece but the name of the artist / sculptor has been scratched off / erased. Does anyone know or could identify the artist / sculptor?
Your help is very much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Mil

Seems like it... The name starts with E and next letter with B or P?

Judging by Barlach's sculptures, considered 'degenerate art' during the III. Reich, this is likely not by him. In addition I can't find anything that he sculpted other than Tim Burtonesque people.

Somewhere my Mom has a Bird done by him at home, so i know at least he made one. This one here could also be prior to NS Times, post WW1 where he made was very active. And, i read there Ernst as first name.... Is there anywhere a Date on it?

I'm trying to see if I can find a signature of Ernst Barlach's work to see if they match, or does someone have a catalogue, etc.?
From the internet, Ernst Barlach's signed pieces are usually with a shortform E. His pieces seem to be signed as E Barlach?
