Bob Johnston the owner is known to make his own reproductions of original badges.

      Old news.

Here are the badges on Germania. I doubt old Bob made these enamel badges but
can't rule out the possibility. On the site it says marked redo with the usual ges gesch. I'd be willing to bet these look alot like the ones in the Husken Kataloque.

The last 3 badges are fakes. Redo in Saarlautern is far away from Hungaria ! The only believable ones with makers mark are from a Hungarian producer.

There is only an unreadable writing because of its age on the back. The photo paper producer is Kodak. I bought the photo 3 months ago for 10,- in Leipzig.

Cool, thanks could be Hungarian could be nsb hard to tell but the badge in first thread deserves more research. I would say that type could be ok, I did see a thread on another forum where someone found this type ground dug. Vince

Why could the badge on the photo be NSB ? This movement never had a round swastika.

                            This is an NSB stickpin.

The swedish party ! Could not be because the badge on the photo is white in the middle and not blue. If not the one from the Volksbund, the only other badge which might be on the photo is the one from the Memeldeutscher Sportbund. (I had today a look in my little collection)

                                jo

I am a great believer in Jo Rivet and his findings under the microscope .Have you read his book on party badges amazing.
What he has found and put to paper is outstanding .
however he has upset a lot of collectors .
No one likes to be told they have fakes. The micro says wrong enamel or wrong metal .This is scientific and not bias workings. You can take the findings and move forward in the hobby or you can believe old books that are clearly out dated and open to old fakes .
                                Just my 2 eggs worth.
                                regards Pete
