    1925 Gau-Ehrenzeichen

    I welcome everyone.
Interested in the originality of this sign.
    Maybe what post-war manufacturing?
Thank you in advance for your answers.

I’m not experienced in this particular badge, but it looks period to me

      Sorry Thomas but I disagree.

Solid wreath versions were made but this one is post war for sure.

If this is a sign of post-war production, then which years?

This is clear. But maybe there were options with a different reverse?

Thank you der-hase-fee for showing the photo but I seem to recall that you have one as well?

What puzzels me is the claim that this 1925 Gau Badge is postwar.

We see that claim as to other rare badges.

German law since 1949, has made unlawful the manufacture of Third Reich items.

Even before that, in May 1945, the Party was declared to be a "Criminal Organization."

How could this badge been made postwar, considering the criminal penalties to do so, in open violation of German law?

Gary, who says this badge was actually made by Wächtler&Lange, fake maker marks are found on other unquestionable fakes

Peter, that is a very good point.

My reasoning is that with S&L Knights Crosses, it is said that S&L somehow continued production of the RK, postwar.

I assumed in the discussion about the 1925's postwar production that it was Wachtler&Lange's "postwar production."

Obviously, anybody outside of Germany could have made it, and slapped that maker mark on the reverse.

Gary, the law came into effect in 1957, but various companies made swaz versions postwar for collectors, vets to take home, as replacements etc... and to fool collectors. The clasp actually reminds me of S&L postwar, obut it could be anyone.

                              Right, 1957, not 1949,

                              Thank you for the correction.
