Agreed, not an accepted pattern, and it's also weak in construction / poorly executed. Would you happen to have a better / clear photo of it?

Might as well post a link to the discussion thread on the cap. Strange marking, never seen that Berolina Berlin 1942 marking before. Not sure if someone went overboard with the Helfrin thought. However the cap looks well done. Interesting to note the Berolina statue that was dismantled in 1942, although why use this stamp and deviate from the more typical Po acceptance.

Thanks for posting a better image, still do not like it.

Guess Berolina was a period headgear maker that I learned from a search here, lots of threads to reference, although there seems to be a lot of fakes too, one linked below with a 1942 stamp.
