Came across this today ..now I have seen several of these and I also have one .But this one in gold /????
were these for a leader ???? not sure cannot seem to find a ref anywhere .
Your thoughts would be great .Many thanks gents

If I have to quote from the official postal regulations: a golden version should not exist!
I have seen more of them and wonder if they are really intended for the postal organization?
Maybe Transportflotte Speer...Just a guess however.

I see two silver versions (late production top, early production bottom), just different materials, wear, patina and dirt...

it could be a nickle-silver version with patina. It could be!

For what the golden version is, I would not know.
Anyway NOT for the postal organization. This subject I have discussed
with a "Post"-expert and he would not know either. He wrote once a
survey of uniforms and ranking systems for the magazine of the
todays postal-organization.
