Police Long Service Medal for Review

Is this an original Police 12 year long service medal? Is it its proper ribbon ring? Thanking you all in advance and hoping to hear from some of you very soon.

The medal itself may be a worn original but in my opinion the ring is a recent replacement. Here is an original for comparison ... note the size of the ribbon ring ..

The suspension ring is definitely modern and IMO the cross is bad as well. The one posted by Ian is a excellent example of what one of these should look like.

Agree with Ian and Tom.Ribbon ring is wrong,base metal looks wrong coupled with poor detail.

These are not rare awards so unless you already have this in hand and paid for I would walk away 100%.

To me (my personal choice) condition is king. Medals on bars (which I don't collect) are different, a genuine, untouched bar can have worn awards on it but collecting singles as I do I seek the best example I can find/afford.
