Is this a good police patch?

I do not collect cloth items and have this lying around. I am pretty sure it is good, but thought I would ask the experts. An approximate value would also be appreciated since I am not that attached to it. Thanks

Yes, in my opinion it is an authentic post 1941 insignia.

Agreed with being good, it's one of the 'hoard' found patterns and if you search by 'hoard' you will find more examples but there is also a close reproduction too.
