Prussian Kripo & Gem Kripo Discs

Some how I came across this reference page on:

    http://www.germandaggers.com/Gallery/GWD.php

I have a question there are two examples of Prussian Kripo Disc's (one silver & one bronze) which I wan't aware of these two actual discs existence before...other than Don's bronze Wuppertal #234...there are also a silver and bronze Prussian Gem Kripo examples that are new to me....I added the actual pics to preserve them on WAF, besides the link....do all four appear righteous?

Looking at the State Kripo in nuesilber a second time, the surface looks kind of mottled.

    A casting?

The rest of the disks look ok.

I thought that no examples of the Prussian State Kripo in Nuesilber survived.

    Thanks for posting.

      Gary,

I had reservations about the nickel-silver Kripo's soft details when I first saw it....but its a god awful scan of the disc....I couldn't make a call from those pics one way or the other.

Of course it could be a black and white photo of a brass Dienstmarke. Thinking about it, I am positive it is as the nickle silver versions do not show the wear in the center and the darker finish around the numbers and letters. The Wuppertal is brass.

Yup I think your dead nuts on with it being a bronze badge due to the darkening around the letters and numbers.

I'm kind of confused, are you guys saying the bronze disks are bad?

No just the first badge that is listed as a nickel silver state Kripo Wuppertal #2 is actually bronze badge...it only appears to be sliver because it’s in black and white....Joe stated due to the darkening around the numbers and letters..sliver ones don’t look like that, but bronze ones do....i was agreeing with Joe’s post...I think all are good badges.
