AH, the infamous rosette bottom eagle.

This has been discussed numerous times. It first appeared on the market in brown. now I see black. There is no consensus about its originality. It does NOT follow standard acceptable design standards, as all other cap insignia have an "X" at the bottom of the wreath.

More people than not believe these to be reproduction because of the design problem. Personally, I have been open to them being original, but I cant prove it is good or bad to be honest. If I were looking for a cap insignia though, I would stick to known original patterns.

Oh yes, this one again...

There are some that would like to believe it, personally I've never been a fan of this pattern, especially since there is an identical brown example that was noted to be reproduction from years ago. Also, I've never seen this pattern appear in a period photo and there are numerous period photos reflecting other known authentic patterns. In addition, I've never seen one convincingly mounted to period cap.
