Odd police cap eagle...

I recently got the bird with odd prongs.
I don't think it is easy to pin it on the cap.

Alain, have to say I'm suspect of this example for several reasons, first would be the short/flat prongs then the 'soft' details and the rough edges. Since you have it in hand, is the size correct and what's it been stamped from?

This eagle is more heavy than the others made of aluminium. The size is correct.
The shape is as this one.

I would have to agree with Dave. The prongs are like nothing I have seen before and I’ve seen a lot of Police birds. Also, as far as those unclean edges go, I actually went back into my collection and couldn’t find one that had sloppy edges like that. Reproduction perhaps. I mean they reproduce everything, even black wound badges! But if I haven’t learned anything else, I’ve learned there is always an exception to the rule.....especially with police stuff
