    Reichslotterie Poster

    Hello All,

I got this new poster and wanted to show it just in case something is off. Seems 100% to me with the wear and color. I was wondering if anyone has seen another one of these because I dont think one was ever posted on the forum. My searches online have some up a little short.

I'm thinking about having it restored and put on linen by a professional because there are a few large rips in it that were taped up. Im just not sure if it is worth getting it fixed if it really isnt worth much. I dont have any reference of another one selling anywhere.

    Thanks for looking...

    Regards,
    Chris G.

What a cool poster! Certainly looks original to me even though I have not seen a similar one.
    Looking for a 30 '06 Chauchat magazine.

Agree with that! To tell for sure a higher magnification of a printed area would be helpful to ensure that the printing is period and not ink jet or laser printed. From these photos it looks good and it's a great design for the subject.

Fantastic image and if original, well worth having professionally mounted

Thank you for all the comments guys. I got a quote to have it professionally restored because it has some rips in it that have tape on them. Cost to mount it on linen alone is $150.00 and then 4-6 hours of work to fix the rips at 90 per hour is a bit much. The place does great work but I just dont know if it would be worth it.

            100% original...

Reichslotterie posters do not usually command a high price although the more appealing the artwork the higher the price.

This is one of those that is more appealing and I have seen them sell for anywhere between 300 - 600 euro depending on condition.

Postermountain are probably the most well know poster restoration professionals there is.
With reputation comes a premium however and you would find far better pricing elsewhere, especially as it is not a high end poster
that you would not want to sink a lot of money into as you will never get that return on resale.

There are plenty of other very good poster restoration studio's in the US that you could get a great result from for less money invested.

I have used this company in the past although I could recommend others.
