    Police & feldgendarmerie eagles

    Hello Guys,

I have 1 Police and 3 (feld) Gendarmerie Eagles into my collection.
But after checking some thread about the massive made fake eagles im not sure anymore about their identity.

Hope you can give me some feedback on them:

    Hello,

Your three orange eagles are good. See my thread from last week for my thoughts on the officer.s insignia. Yours appears to be exactly the same pattern I questioned. From your photo it looks great. I just can't get my head around 70 year old "new" insignia.

      Hello William,
Thanks for you reply. happy to hear the orange eagles are good.
But the officers insignia.. indeed it looks like it just came out of the factory yesterday.... bright and shining.
but furthermore no bad signs are to find on the piece, I also got matching collar tabs with them.

I absolutely cannot say the officer's insignia is bad. It certainly meets all of the requirement of an original piece. I am just a bit distressed by the large number of perfect, undamaged "new" officer's eagle around lately. When I was actively seeking these I never found one with the tinsel purl not damaged. It goes quickly with wear. I have nearly mint examples, but yours and others I have seen are just " perfect" which makes me scratch my balding head.

        Regards,

I agree with Bill, the three orange examples are authentic patterns, the lower two of which you will find multiple examples posted in the past referred to as 'hoard' found. The officer grade example appears to be a well made / conditioned example but Bill does bring up a legitimate concern about the all too like new condition.
