what kind of SA patch is this?

Hello Guy's I am unable to download a pic so here is my best shot at describing the patch.
The Patch is round just under 6 inches across. (5 3/4 inches)
The field is green with a white SA logo with a circle around the SA.
At the bottom of the circle surrounding the SA are the letters KP.
There is an RZM tag on the back. Dersteller nr 374 and J No 397993.
I think this is an SA sport shirt patch but would like to know more about it. especially what the KP is for.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Ross

That's right--it's an SA sport shirt insignia for group Kurpfalz (KP).

As noted, it's a sport shirt insignia. It's got the wrong RZM label (it's a label for 1/2 of a set of tabs) but it's possibly period applied.

            Hi Erich,

I have often wondered if people did funny business with RZM lables. Have you seen fake RZM lables? Also how can you tell what they are for?
            Any help would be appreciated.
            Thanks

              Fake RZM Tags

              Ross,

Regrettably yes, RZM tags are being faked (heavy sigh). People pay extra for RZM tagged items and somehow seem to think that a tag somehow guarantees authenticity. Sorry to say that fakers are well aware of this and the better ones fake the tags too. There is a pretty good book on the market that lists most, but not all, RZM codes, what items they are for and who the code equates to (manufacturers). Don't quote me but I think it's called "RZM codes". Also, Ray Cowdry in his book "Papers Please!" lists some of the RZM codes and equates them to manufacturers. Hope this answers your question.

Here is the site for the book on the market. You can also download the codes, but you won't be able to print them. (Maybe by giving the site a plug, I can get a free printing! ).

Did these sport shirt insignia come in multi-pieced examples with stitching? And what group was "SA"?
