OK found an old post from that member...the back cut lacks the old style "rock panels" with 2 belt support buttons,
so it is a West German version...Its from around 1955, that's when the dagger was reintroduced for a brief time
(tunic has dagger slit) and it lacks signs of collar tabs being on it another West German indicator!Last edited by NickG; 01-14-2018, 08:34 PM.Comment

Here I am!
It is awest German forestry tunic dating from 1949- 1965 approx. During this time foresters could wear the dagger again and therefor tunics were made with the dagger slit.
But clear indication for post-war is the cut of the back.
