    Fireman/Firebrigade Honor Badge - Original?

I would appreciate some input on this Fireman/Firebrigade Honor Badge. The reference book I have does not have very good pictures of an original and I'm curious to know if this one is good or a fake.
    Thanks, Doug

      Hi Doug,

Sorry to say but that's a fake.
Originals of the pin back first class are extremely rare.

      Regards,
      AB.

PS. It looks to me that it's the same badge on Estand here:

A real 1st Class, and a related past thread on this type:

Yep! The one that started this thread is an old and very well-known fake. Actually, there is nothing that looks right about this piece: Bogus maker name and RZM markings on back, attachment hardware all wrong, lack of umlauts on the front inscription, no space between 'Für' and 'Ver' nor between 'im' and 'Feuer', wrong base material, and the coloring on the front looks like paint when it should be vitreous enamel.

And Andrew is correct. This fake is the exact same one that was sold on the estand a few days ago.

Thanks Tom, and great summary of why it is a fake. Another sign is that originals are always vaulted.

                    Here is mine.

Here is The 2nd Class with the 1st Class type 2 which is gilded. The case for the 1st Class type 2 is very rare. Notice the gold line around the lid.
