can I please have an opinion on this fireman medal. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Hi Del,

Sorry, but I do not like the look of this one, especially the look of the inscription. The "Für Verdienst" is running off the top edge and the "im Feuerlöschwesen" is running off the bottom edge. Some of the letters look ill-formed too and the umlaut appears to be absent from the word "Für" because of the runoff. I also think this one looks too thick and the back is too flat. I prefer the ones that are thinner and have a slightly concave reverse.

I agree.

This example has a slight vaulting ... maybe between 1 and 2 mm
