enamel Reichsbahn sign

Hello all,

I picked this one up recently and wanted to share. I don't know much about it other than the fact that it isn't a plain white and black enameled sign like we typically see. Hopefully it checks out. I'm a Bears fan and I just so happen to like this color combination. Any feedback and information would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Hello,
In Wilhelm Saris's book "Wall Plaques and Official Office Signboards of Hitler's Third Reich" he shows a sign like the one you show. The size is 59.5 cm x 39.5 cm and it says that is of type D form, which is vaulting with flat edges. It goes on to say that the vaulting can vary but this type D is typically only slightly vaulted , nearly flat. As stated this information comes from Wilhelm Saris's book titled above. Hope this helps

William, in spite of intensive research and a friend who owns over 100,000 photographs, related to railroads, I have not found any of the signs in use.
Most often the important side of a station was photographed. These signs were not at the fronts, but at buildings next door where goods were loaded and unloaded!
If any would have been found after the publishing of the book, they would have been shown anyway in my railroad eaglesbook.
