    WWII fireman uniform info

Hello I am new to the forum and have enjoyed the topics. I've some questions if someone can answer them?
First what type and color is the belt for an uniform, I have a mid 30's model and need a belt. Next is their a simple book out there that gives basic info on the ranks and other useful items.
    Thank you

Belt was black with a blackened police belt buckle for the NS period. Weimar wore many different types of buckle depending on area, some with fire department related motiv, some with city coat of arms.

As Bill answered, basically a black belt with proper buckle will suffice. But mid-1930s is kinda of a tough call unless you show the uniform. The new nationalized uniforms were introduced in the summer of 1936 with the Feuerwehr receiving a newly designed uniform. But if yours is Prussian or another Länd, then it might be different.

A simple book? Pardon me while I do a Steve Martin continuous laugh. The Angolia/Taylor books are large....I will stop at that. I think you would do better to search this forum with various key words to find your info.
