1942 2 pocket tunic - is it German?

A collector mailed this one to me today. It's not like any German polizei tunic I have ever seen. comments welcome!

The sleeve eagle is wrong. It is on what looks like an army green backing material, not the correct blue-grey. If on army green the eagle itself becomes suspect as there were no green sleeve eagles on army material that I am aware of.

It does look like more of a green backing on a different monitor...appears more regular police green (Schupo) related to me? Not a typical LSP cloth backed insignia that would be closer to the tunic. Supposed it could have been used/crossed over being so close.

I agree. If a standard ShuPo green eagle it "may" have been used on an LSP tunic as supplies of LSP insignia became difficult to obtain.

BUT, if the backing is army green rather than police green the insignia becomes questionable. Unfortunately digital files on a computer look different color to everyone, and it is difficult to tell the true color here.

I examined the patch under a strong light.
Unless my eyes are deceiving me, the backing on the patch is the same color as the tunic!
If there is a hint of green maybe it's from the reflection off the closeup lens I am using?
I'll post a photo of the patch using my 5725 kelvin flash.
Then you will see the correct color!

If the backing is gray then there is no problem whatsoever with the insignia.
It could very well be a reflection off of the green embroidery.

                          Strobe photo

here is my new photo taken with flash, no post production with photoshop or anything else.

The patch background by strobe is not a perfect color match.
But by eye, the color it looks identical but a shade lighter.
Is this an army/shupo eagle or the correct LSP eagle?
The full size is 7.0 x 9.0 cm
