After the incorporation of the FJK into the Prussian SchuPo as motorisierte Strassenpolizei on Apr 1, 1935 , sure the 1st pattern or M34 cap eagle was used.
After motorisierte Strassenpolizei was taken into the Gendarmerie on Apr 1, 1936 and became Gendarmerie-Bereitschaften , its uniform and insignia were instructed by the 25 June 1936 regulations (RdErl. d. RuPrMdI v. 25.6.1936 - III M 100 Nr. 56/36 Anlage "B" )which prescribed that the eagle for the visor cap was to be that of the other major OrPo branches in a matt yellow (ie gold) metal, so the 2nd pattern or M36 cap eagle.
Most period photos date to the 1935/1936 period, with the likely purpose of propaganda at a time when highways started being built and inaugurated, a much idealized pride of Hitler’s Germany provided with its own police surveillance. These pics show the 1st pattern or M34 cap eagle being worn.
But a few photos of the 1936/1937 exist ( see one in http://www.warrelics.eu/forum/guide-...adgear-496533/ , for example) which show the 2nd pattern or M36 cp eagle being worn.
It’s not by chance that I have written Gend. – Bereitschaften in 1936/1937.
