A nice set to a Neustadt policeman who was sent to Kanaus Lithuania in 1943.

It had a Jewish Ghetto and in 1943 turned into a concentration camp. The city had a Jewish population of 37,000 Jews of which 3000 survived.

Landfried returned to Austria and survived the war.

I was just thinking that it's been years since I added my last set and it wasn't all that many years ago polizei Dienstbuch and Ausweis were fairly common to find but now they seem to be on the scarce side. Of course good content has always been difficult to find.

Yes , polizei id's with any interesting content are more scarce these days. The reason I collect the id's, they put a face, name and places they have served. A uniform, medal or hat, although pretty cool, have a vague history unless they come from a vet.
