In my hometown we have the ruins of the EIBIA GmbH in Dörverden. It was the 4th largest powder fabric in Germany then.

Yes, there were 4 classes of workers there:

      1. Germans
      2. foreign workers whcih volunteered for work
      3. Fremdarbeiter (pressed foreigners)
      4. POW (which were the lowest class with the hardest conditions)

Numbers 3 and 4 had armbands, comparable with the sewn on numbers and stars in the concentration camps.

Very interesting armband, indeed. I am only knowing black ones. Don´t know the meaning of the colours.

      Bye
      Frank

Don´t know, but I try to catch a view in the photos of an EIBIA-collector. The EIBIA (Firma Wolff in Walsrode) had some more sites, so mabye the armband is from oine of the many sites, like Liebenau, Bomlitz etc.

Quality and construction seems correct for the time. Most likely for forced laborers, but probably impossible to say which of the 4 types would have used. Too bad about the fire damage.

Should I take better pics of the inside of the armband?
Plus thanks for some of the ideas as to this armband.
