Polizei helmet ???

I should like to have the advices of the Polizei specialists about that Motorcycle helmet that i put on the headgear section.

Looks like a period constructed cash helmet that has been painted after the visor was removed. I've seen a number of odd painted variations so I suspect they found some postwar uses for them.

The attached picture is what it likely looked like at one time.

With the missing visor, I assume yours was damaged and painted for a postwar use or just painted postwar by someone wanting a traffic example which is very rare.

It has been repainted. Notice on the white version of mine in the linked thread, that even the straps are white on original versions.
