Very rare DFB medal ( German Football Association )

A friend of mine bought this very odd medal.
This medal id from the DFB (Deutsche Fussbal Bund) or the German Football Association .
The medal is on the back marked with DRGM.

Has anybody seen this before ???

Not really a medal, more a "fob" (watch fob)... but certainly for that organization. New one on me, also.

It is not a new one ,but that is my opinion.

I believe "new one" means he has never seen one like this.

Since the DFB has been around since the early 1900's this could date long before the NS-zeit. The 20's or early 30's would be my guess. I agree that it is probably a fan item, like a watch fob.

Judging by the style of the eagle, I'd say turn of the century item- early 1900's perhaps. Neat piece.
