Hello,
I would appreciate some opinions on this tschako, it is a little out of my comfort zone. It has a little damage on the top, the cockade has a dink in the back and there is a hole in the rear visor but apart from that it is in pretty nice condition with no cracking etc. There are no additional holes behind the eagle and everything looks untouched.

I'd say it's another postwar example with TR insignia added, which seems to be very common. With a search, you will find several examples posted in the past. The below linked thread makes details some good points to look for.

I am afraid that I agree with Dave. These leather tschakos were definitely used post war, and those with NO maker's label are almost always from the 1950's. Pre-NS-zeit leather tschakos have different vents.

Chris. Did you notice the cockade? All III Reich police cockades will have the national colors in this order from outside to the center: black, white, red. This cockade has the colors of the Federal Republic of Germany-W.Germany: black, red, gold. This seller was a dummi. He switched the state front plate to the eagle but forgot the cockade.
