    Cased DRK Order

    Hello,
This is from the estate of a recently deceased collector. Many of the items in his collection have been repros. This order is completely out of my experience, so just wanted to see if anyone could help me as to originality, time period and value.
    Thank you,
    Dale

          good

          Hi there Stepdale.
Well IMO it is a good one.I have looked at several of the earler Red cross ones and i have found several the same.
There is one in the Dietlev Nieman 3rd book that shows the very same one in its case. The case has an identicle marking for Godet in the middle of the lid inside.
The hanger for the ribbon looks good as does the ribbon.Little worn to the suspension or how it was made .The enamel sits shy a little of the letters .This is also a thing you can see on many other originals.
These were not the same quality of 3rd pattern or the social welfair ,this is proberly due to them not falling under the NSDAP control for awards until then.If i am correct ??
          Best regards Pete

Thanks Pete, I appreciate it. Unfortunately I have no references on this and haven't had time to research it, though a quick search on the WAF didn't show me any of this pattern. I'm wrapped up going through this collection which so far has proven to be mostly repros, so finding anything original is a good thing.
