The sweat diamond is incorrect having no slot for the name or correct stitching around the edges. Three strikes and you are out with me.
There are many visor with no place for the name, regards sergio

I thought the question was weather the cap was fake? which I believe it is not, just that it has the wrong insignia, does not make it a fake cap, cap is a good one in my opinion with the wrong eagle, that no one can seem to find. Has anyone actually seen a gold bevo eagle, or got one? I have never seen one, has anyone else

Here is what a real General's eagle looks like--they are almost impossible to find, and that is why the fakers use WSP NCO eagles:

The eagle you show is clearly a shallow stamped "NCO grade" cap eagle for the traffic or waterways police. It is NOT the more expensive "officer's grade" type of insignia, which is what "stonemint" was pointing out. Look at the difference in the two insignia. The one on this cap is without a doubt a cheaper eagle, not what a general officer would wear. One would think that a general would not go cheap on his insignia and throw in the extra RM for the nicer insignia were he going to spend the extra money on a summer white top cap.

The rather poor photo below shows the difference in the "officers" vs "NCO" insignia side by side. Note how much deeper the stamping is on the officer's as well as the three attachment points on the reverse as opposed to two. Both insignia were available for purchase, with the deeper stamped "officer's" at around twice the price as I recall. Both of the insignia I show are in gold and I presume the "officer's" was intended for the WSP although it "might" have been used by a general officer. The two piece insignia shown by "stonemint" is clearly nicer and the next step up on the pricelist from the one-piece officer's type I show here. The "flat" one I show is like the one on the cap you show.

In any case your eagle is NOT the high priced version. Consequently, not convincing on a general officer's cap. Generals made enough to pay for the nicer insignia.

Repro insignia, looks to be the same as on the white visor (picture copied from a repro site). And unfortunately the pattern on the green visor has also been reproduced so it would also have to be looked at closer.
