Civil helmet

Hi,
I picked this helmet up at a local gun show for $50. It seems to be WW2 period to me from others I have seen. It is made out of aluminum and has a few small dents on top but for $50 I figured I would give it a chance. It even has the neck guard but I am not sure if that is original. I would appreciate any help on this.

M34 Fire Helmet, complete, except for the decals. Apparently it never had a comb on top. Aluminum shells are more scarce than the steel ones. You may find maker marks on the inside (rim) of the shell- sometimes the stampings are shallow, and the paint covers them over. You got a good deal, IMO.
