    Ebay surprise

Just got me this "cowboy pistol belt" for kids (so the seller said )!

This cowboy was a Landgendarm in former time..........

Original Reichsrevolver holster for Prussian Landgendarmerie, marked L.G. 01. Needs some restore (a new flap maybe), but it´s still a very rare item.

    Gerd,

In the US we know who made these modifications. His name is "Bubba" and such a holster is known to have been "Bubbaized". I had no idea he still has relatives in Germany.

Seriously, I have seen period photographs of this holster with the extra cartridge pouch and flap removed. Not a period modification but perhaps some "Bubba" relatives served in the Prussian Army?

Gerd, nice gob seeing your way past the bling or bedazzled look of that holster. L.G.01., what a great find! I look for those type of markings all the time but the luck isn't with me
Interested in the Gendarmerie - Schutzpolizei - Gemeinden - Feuerschutzpolizei - Wasserschutzpolizei - Etc. Looking For Anything Polizei Related!

Good find; you take the L.G.s any way you find them. Who made it?
Try Zimmerman to restore/replace the flap; he is good.

Mr. Zimmermann is a good choice; sure he will be in Kassel next month.

L.G. marked items are always welcome L.G. = Landgendarmerie
Item is on the way, will see if there's a maker mark somewhere.

I now have two of these; picked up an L.G. M83 and a holster at the SOS. The curious thing is that both of my L.G. holsters are black and there is no maker mark to be found on either one.

Landgendarmerie changed coloring from black to brown in 1901
