Booklet "Vorschrift für die Führung und Verwendung der Polizeitruppe"

    Hello gents,

    got this booklet today.

"Vorschrift für die Führung und Verwendung der Polizeitruppe: Entwurf",

published by: Verlag für polizeiliches Fachschrifttum, 1943,

    pages 223, size ~ DIN A5

Unfortunately I haven´t found much about it on the internet.

It seems this booklet is not often to find.

Does anybody know more about it?

I am glad about every information.

    Thank you in advance!

This is the general doctrine on how police troops are to be lead and should operate. It formally is a concept version. I have the same booklet. Not often found.

Such information booklets were added as police information sources after the creation of Police battalion and regimental formations for combat and occupation duties.

These seem to be far and few between and one would think there would be more around but that's not the case. I know I am still looking for a few. Some are fairly desirable to collectors and some not so much. Anyhow, notice yours is #41 so there are many more to find if you choose to collect them! Maybe yours has a listing by numbers in the back?
Interested in the Gendarmerie - Schutzpolizei - Gemeinden - Feuerschutzpolizei - Wasserschutzpolizei - Etc. Looking For Anything Polizei Related!

              Hello Dave,

              yep - there´s a list

It seems it´s similar to the Hoffmann-illustrated-books, hard to get them all, maybe nearly impossible.

              Regards
              Manfred

I have PDV 5, Vorschriften für den Strassenverkehr, dated 1940 has 473 pages with an extra four pages covering accidents of horse drawn wagons, carts, trailers, bicycles and motorcycles and also an inserted eight page booklet "Ausbildungs=und Prüfungs=Ordnung für Fahrlehrer und Fahrschüler in Württemberg, Baden, Hohenzollern. I don't really collect Police but I do have a large variety of handbooks, tech manuals..etc. in my archives that I picked up during my 20 plus years in Europe.

Here are a few I have found over the years. Notice the difference in size in some, as well as the color change from the early ORPO green to black. The manuals on blades, 7.65mm pistols and the MP 18I are my favorites, besides the clothing manual of course. The Auszüge provides some changes and additions to earlier manuals.

This view shows some of the later ones like PDV 43 that show a deterioration in quality as the war progressed. Also in this photo are a couple of the earlier Prussian manuals showing the ORPO followed the same design.
