Question on my 50 Yr Service Award Ribbon

I scooped this up as it was in beautiful condition. My question is about the ribbon. It's obviously not blue, and supposedly it's the only one. Any thoughts?

Hi Tony,

I'm posting the images so they don't disappear from this thread, making it useless.

As far as I can tell (based on the rather small and not too clear pictures) the cross itself looks okay. However, as Dietrich mentions, that ribbon does not belong on this cross. The ribbon should be plain cornflower blue and was typically brooch-mounted. I don't know exactly what that particular ribbon is for, but it is definitely not for a 50-Year Faithful Service Decoration.

I'll agree on the medal itself being original ... average condition at best though and missing it's ribbon Unless it is VERY cheap I'd leave it alone and as $400 is around £255 I'd have this one instead .. http://www.mandtmilitaria.com/Produc...corations/5170
