Customs Collar tabs?

These collar tabs came together with Customs service insignias so my first guess was they where for Customs service. I couldn´t find them in my litterature though so now I hope for help from the forum members. What are they for?

Yes, for the Zollschutz uniform worn between the double breasted one and the later one with the eagle cuffband. I see they are the removable style for washable uniforms.

I have not seen a white Zollschutz uniform but they did make them in summer weight green washable cotton material. I think this is more likely.

Would that be the same light weight green cloth as seen on police tunics?

In the 1930 uniform-regulation the collar patches were red piped and black with a yellow button; in the 1934 uniform regulation they were black, no piping and with golden colored double-tresse, which each had a brighter green stripe in the middle. This type of collar-patch was occasionally worn with the summer light weight tunic (leichte Sommerjoppe, which was not white, but had a brownish-green color - originally phrased as "braun grün meliertem Baumwollstoff").

With the actual pure white tunic these tresse were not worn at all, as for this type of tunic the 1937 pattern collar patches had to be used!
