Traffic Police White Summer Jacket

Hello gents!

This jacket was discussed in another forum before (the European Axis one, as I thought it might be Hungarian/Bulgarian) - but thanks to some knowledgable members we found out it's actually 3.Reich German. See this topic: http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=752869

The tresse was added postwar, but apart from that (and the fact that it's missing all of its external buttons) it's in a very good condition. Used, but not damaged.

Now as this period in time is not my cup of tea (beaing a DDR-collector and all), I was wondering what a piece like this, in the condition it currently sits in, would actually be worth? I do really consider selling it!

Yes, it does appear to be a WWII period Traffic Police tunic with postwar added Tresse. I suspect the gold Tresse was added for costume purposes and certainly does not belong there. It should have pebbled gilt buttons held on with metal clips. I don't know what the price might be since it would have to be completely restored and the stitching from the Tresse would still be there showing it had been mucked with.
