I don't really collect German militaria, but I do come across it from time to time. I'm hoping someone on the forum could identify this ribbon. Forgive me if this is listed in the wrong section. Can anyone tell me what it is and how much it is worth? Thanks!

How about using google or yahoo search engines?
Sure you would have found this:
1. Betriebsfeier: work party
2. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/BIAG_Zukunft
3. Tag der Arbeit : celebrated in Germany each May, 1st.
4. http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erster_Mai
Result:
You have some kind of membership sticker for the 1st may work party of workers from the BIAG Zukunft factory in 1938.
worth = nothing (for me)!

Gerd W: if you talk down a badge and belittle a member who asks for help, it would be wise to at least be sure what you state yourself is correct:

It appears to be a 1 Mai commemorative badge made of cloth, for indeed the Braunkohlen Industrie A.G "Zukunft" factory festivities of the Tag der Arbeit (Day of Labor) on 1 Mai 1938.
The cogwheel image on top is similar to the DAF (Deutsche Arbeits Front) logo, which was a Unit Association of workers and employers. It seems very logic to use it here on this badge.
Regarding value, "worth" or desirability, it all depends on what you collect. I collect 1 Mai badges and this is one that i think i have seen only once before. The value is probably not the highest (about 10 euro max), but they are for sure nice and/or desirable to the right collector. I think you have a very nice item.
best regards,
Gaston

I couldnĀ“t care less!
In my last 12 years here on WAF I helped a lot collectors on the way and saved them thousends of $.
However, in this case one could start easiest research before.
Dono which part of your answer brought us very new wisdoms here.

OK, name this thing: Teilnehmerabzeichen (participiant insignia)
which you can stick on your lapel.
In German: *Teilnehmerabzeichen der BIAG Zukunft Betriebsfeier am 1. Mai 1938*
