I am not an expert but I believe it is a good one.

I believe these are original, perhaps used, perhaps not, I would expect more thread holes if it were really sewn to a tunic. That said, they exhibit a lot of wear on the silver metal on the threads in the runes. I am looking for a patch too, and I saw this one on RD site at a reasonable price, but I decided to pass on this one because of the bare threads. Good luck.
