40 year DVG badge

Has anyone come across a badge like this? I believe it to be post war because of the "V" in 'DJV'. It is quite attractive I think.

Dustin Johnson mentioned Chris C. may some some history on this piece. Any information about it would be grateful.

It is an honourable badge in 40 years of membership in Deutscher Jagdverband. The organization was created in 1949 under the name Deutsche Jagdschutz-verband.
