Are both of these for the rank of Oberforstmeister, the green velvet backing for State Forestry Service, the brown for Public Forestry Service?

Forestry Branch Colors - Waffenfarbe

Nice Shoulder boards!

There are four documented Branch colors used by the Forestry Service of the III Reich:

Grey - Army Forestry Service

Black - Luft Forestry Service

Green - State Forestry Service

Brown - Private Forestry Service

It's common the see a mismatch between the collar tabs and boards of Forestry uniforms as these personnel were often transferred wherever they were needed most.

The Generalgouverment had their own Forestry service which was a cross between Foresters & Gendarmerie. They wore Forestry style collar patches with a secondary piping of Orange.

Thanks for the replies, I'm picking up a few of these pieces but don't know much about them.
I've picked up a few more shoulder boards & collar patches (LW, Forsetry & Customs) today so I'll scan them & post them with a request for more info.

Hi there!
The green pair is for a Revierfoerster (Regulation of 1942)and the silver pair for a Forstmeister (Regulation of 1938).
The colours are:
grey: community Forest Svc.
black: Army AND Air Force
