Hi Folks:

I bought these edelweisses in Germany and noticed the differences and elected to post them. Why the difference?

The Deutscher Alpen Verein "DAV" is on one edelweisse while the other has a "D" and then symbols.....WHY? What are they? Can you date these? Thanks,

The DÖAV badge is pre-war. The German and Austrian Alpine Club (German: Deutschen und Österreichischen Alpenverein) (DuÖAV or DÖAV) was a merger of the German, Austrian and Bohemian branches of the Alpine Club that existed from 1873 to 1938. (Wiki)
